The Origins of C.O.R.E.

The C.O.R.E. Journey developed out of one couple's personal journey through pain, isolation, darkness, addiction, and brokenness into freedom and life.

At the height of despair and at the edge of death, Jesus reached into the fiery wreckage, pulled them out, and began to put them back together...beginning the lifelong journey of healing, living in freedom, restoration, and engaging in intimacy with Jesus and the pursuit of life to the full that he came to offer.

At one point in the journey, this couple began asking the question "How can others experience intimacy with God in this way without having to go through the pain and destruction that we have?"

In response, God gave them a vision for the "how" and it was the path that Jesus walked on his way to the Cross and in the days that followed.  It's a path that each of us must walk if we are to radically embrace the One who came to rescue and restore us to intimate relationship with the Father...and the life he has for us.  It's a path that leads to the truth that there is hope, that life and freedom are possible, and that Jesus has more for us than we could ever imagine.

 The Evolution of C.O.R.E.

While started by a single couple, over the past four years C.O.R.E. has evolved and grown... not because of any one person or couple, but because of men, women, and couples "...whose faces are marred by dust and sweat and blood..." as Roosevelt said.  It has evolved and grown because of the willingness, sacrifice, and courage of men and women who have risked greatly in their pursuit of Jesus and as a result of what they have experienced, desire to lead others to Him.

The pilot groups for C.O.R.E. were launched at River City Church (www.rccjax.com) in Jacksonville, FL. 

As C.O.R.E. evolved and grew, the leadership of C.O.R.E. recognized the need to establish C.O.R.E. as a separate entity.  So, in 2010, a 501(c)(3) called The Rock Ministries Group was formed to operate C.O.R.E., as well as other non-traditional ministries.  

The C.O.R.E. Journey is open to anyone who is willing to embark on the journey of radically pursuing Jesus...regardless of background, denomination, or Church.
